Venus Crossbody Satchel

The Venus Satchel is a simple but stylish purse perfect for a day out. This structured bag features two zippers along the flap, as well as a magnetic snap for extra security. The large flap is great for featuring that perfect fabric you’ve wanted the highlight. The lining is bound, with an interior zipper pocket to put items like keys or a phone you may want easy access to.

Supplies needed for the project:

Fabric and Interfacing

• ½ yd Main Exterior Fabric

• ¾ yd Lining Fabric 

• 2 yd 20” Woven Fusible Interfacing *

• ½ yd Fusible Fleece Stabilizer

• 1 yd Decovil Light

*This assumes Pellon SF101 is used. Less woven interfacing will be needed if a wider interfacing is used or if material such as waterproof canvas is used for the lining.

    OR 2 12” #5 Zippers + 1 9” #5 Zipper

• 2 yd 1” Strap Webbing

• 2 yd ½” Double Fold Bias Tape

• 1 Magnetic Snap
